About Scarlet

Scarlet has been involved in leading worship both as a cantor and then choir director for church for twenty years, since she first joined her music ministry team in high school. Graduating from Franciscan University in 2006 with a BA in Literature minoring in Drama, she moved to Los Angeles and spent two years teaching Religion and English at St. Joseph’s High School. She transitioned to Youth Ministry and dedicated eight years of her life as a Middle School and High School Youth Minister and Confirmation Coordinator.

She is the lead singer and songwriter for Merlot Embargo, the indie rock band that she created with her husband Geoff Gross. They reside in Downey where they are raising their five year old daughter, two dogs, and three chickens.
