About Fr. Matt

Father Matt is originally from Minnetonka, Minnesota, and came to Los Angeles to attend the University of Southern California. He studied accounting and philosophy and, through USC’s Campus Ministry, met some wonderful people who helped him grow in his spiritual life and discern his vocation to the priesthood.

After graduating in 2010, he entered St. John's Seminary in Camarillo, California, and was ordained in 2018 for the Archdiocese of Los Angeles. Father Matt served as the Parochial Vicar of St. Anthony’s Parish in San Gabriel for four years and then served as the Administrator of Visitation Parish for two years. He enjoys pepperoni pizza, soccer, playing the guitar, and reading classic novels.
