About Fr. Joe

Fr. Joe Kim was born in Orange, CA. He completed a BA in philosophy with a minor in psychology from St. John’s Seminary College (Camarillo, CA) before he entered the Conventual Franciscans. He studied for the priesthood at the Dominican School of Philosophy and Theology (Berkeley, CA) and St. Patrick’s Seminary (Menlo Park, CA) and completed his master of divinity.

After ordination, he has served as associate pastor at St. Thomas Aquinas in Reno, NV. He also served as pastor of Our Lady of Guadalupe in Hermosa Beach, CA. Besides joining the campus ministry team at the Catholic Center, Fr. Joe serves as an Air Force Reserve Chaplain. Fr. Joe is very active and strives to share the joy of the Gospel into every ministry and relationship.
