Discover how Latin American Christianity enriches the philosophy of religion! Dr. Pablo Irizar, a scholar from KU Leuven and the Catholic University of Paris, explores untapped Christian sources in Latin America as a continuation of Christian Platonist traditions. The Catholic Scientist who Survived the Bomb: The Faith of Takashi Nagai
Join us to hear the inspiring story of Dr. Takashi Nagai, a Catholic convert and atomic bomb survivor who devoted his life to healing, service, and forgiveness. Dr. Suzanne Bohlson, a UC Irvine professor and fellow Catholic convert, will share Nagai’s journey and her own insights. Don’t miss this seminar on January 26 at 7 PM in Newman Hall!
Gold Mass for Catholics in the Sciences
Gold Mass for Catholics in the Sciences celebrated by Archbishop José Gomez
Gold Masses are celebrated for Catholics who are or have been involved with the sciences. The patron of this mass is St. Albert the Great, a 13th century Dominican friar, teacher of St. Thomas Aquinas, and patron saint of scientists.

The Gold Mass and courtyard reception are open to all members of the public.
The dinner with Professor Lunine is a ticketed event with limited seating - tickets are available at the link below. This program is co-sponsored by the Nova Forum for Catholic Thought and the Society of Catholic Scientists.

St. Francis Food Pantry
Make a difference in the community and help the less fortunate by prepping food boxes and distributing them to our brothers and sisters in need. Come join us at St. Francis Center this Saturday, November 2. We will meet at the CC at 9AM and will return at 1PM. This is an amazing opportunity to serve alongside Trojan Catholics and to help those in our community.
Advent Night of Mercy | Penance Service
Join us for our Advent Penance Service on Thursday, December 5, from 7PM to 9PM in the Church. This is a wonderful opportunity to prepare your heart for the coming of Christ by receiving the Sacrament of Reconciliation. Multiple priests will be available to hear confessions and offer God’s healing grace. All are welcome!
The Power of the Rosary
Have you ever wondered where the Rosary comes from and how we can get the most out of this prayer? Mark your calendars for Wednesday, December 4 at 8PM where we will come together to learn about the origin of the Rosary, hear a talk by Fr. Matt, and share our personal testimonies of how the Rosary has worked in our lives. We will also be exploring about the role of Mary in our lives and particularly how we can unite ourselves to her through the Holy Rosary. Light refreshments will be provided!

Worship Night | Eucharistic Life
You’re invited to our next Worship Night on November 19 at 7PM! This worship night, our guest speaker, Fr. Matt will be focusing on the topic of Eucharistic Life and how this encourages us to integrate our love for Christ into every aspect of our lives, transforming daily actions into continuous acts of worship and service.

Salsa & Salsa at Hotel Dieu
Join us for a joyful afternoon of salsa dancing with our elderly friends at Hotel Dieu! Get ready to make new friends, share some laughs, and enjoy a lively celebration filled with authentic Latin music, dancing, and community. We'll also have chips and salsa to snack on as we mingle and connect. Meet us at the CC Courtyard at 3PM, and we’ll head over together. Expect to return by 6PM. This is a wonderful chance to brighten someone’s day—and yours too!
Tijuana Mission Trip
Mission Trips are BACK! Join fellow Trojan Catholics for our first Mission Trip in Tijuana on November 8th thru the 11th. We will help build houses, serve at a local orphanage, encounter Christ, and learn about the life and challenges that our brothers and sisters experience just across the border. Men's Ministry Hike and Mass
Join us for our first Men’s Ministry event of the year! We’ll gather to hike the scenic Temescal Canyon Trail. We will meet at the CC Courtyard at 5AM. This hike will take around 2 hours, with a stop for Mass to deepen our connection with the Eucharist in nature. This is a great chance to grow in faith and fellowship with our Men’s community at the Catholic Center! We plan to return to campus by 9AM. Carpool spots are limited, so sign up ASAP.

Halloween Party | Shipwrecked : Rescue Mission
Fr. Matt has gone missing, and we need your help to find him! The search for Fr. Matt continues at our Halloween Party on November 1 at 8PM where we will meet in teams to review the evidence and find out where he has gone & who has taken him. Along with this night, there will be snacks, a haunted house, and so much more. Costumes are encouraged, so come best dressed and join the fun!
All Saints Day | Holy Day of Obligation
A friendly reminder that November 1 is the Solemnity of All Saints, a Holy Day of Obligation, that the Church celebrates dedicated to the saints of the Church. Join us for Mass at 1210PM and 530PM. Make sure to mark your calendar for this day!
*Holy day of obligation is a religious feast day when Catholics are required to attend Mass and avoid unnecessary work.
