Meet your Speaker | Jamie Cleaton:

Jamie Cleaton has been doing youth and young adult ministry in San Diego for over 15 years. He was a youth minister for 8 years, campus minister at San Diego State University for 7 years, and served as Regional Director in FOCUS for 2 years. He has most recently founded a SoCal based Catholic missionary apostolate called Paradigm Missions. In addition, Jamie has been blessed to speak locally and abroad at various retreats, conferences, and parish missions. Most importantly, Jamie has been married to his wife Grace for over 15 years, and is father to their 6 little rascals.

Gold Masses are celebrated for Catholics who are or have been involved with the sciences. The patron of this mass is St. Albert the Great, a 13th century Dominican friar, teacher of St. Thomas Aquinas, and patron saint of scientists.

The image of Señor Santo Niño de Cebú, the oldest Catholic relic in the Philippines, was a gift from Ferdinand Magellan in 1521 and has inspired deep devotion since it was miraculously found unharmed in 1565 after a fire. This devotion gave rise to the Sinulog dance and festival, a cherished part of Filipino Catholic tradition.

OneLife LA

In light of the recent wildfires and the challenges faced by so many in Los Angeles, this year’s OneLife LA event will look a little different. Instead of the traditional walk, the entire event will take place at the Cathedral of Our Lady of the Angels on Saturday, January 18, 2025 at 1PM.

This adjustment allows us to come together as a community in a sacred space while easing the strain on local law enforcement and safety personnel. Let us unite in prayer and mission with other students and communities from across Southern California as we stand for the dignity of every human life.

Please register to help us know how many seats we will need to keep together. Please bring your own lunch and meet us in the CC Courtyard at 11AM for food and fellowship before we depart for the Cathedral at 12:15PM.
