What is Lectio Divina? Praying with God's word, the Bible

Come meet Sr. Clara Choi as we listen to God speak to us through the bible and get to know Jesus in deeper and personal level.

We will prepare spiritually for our Sunday Mass by reading, listening, reflecting, and praying with Sunday's Gospel reading. We will meet 45 minutes before the 10AM and the 5PM Sunday Mass. See you there! If you have any questions, please email Sr. Clara at giclarachoi@gmail.com.

CC Annual Beloved Dinner

Join us for our annual Beloved Dinner, where the men of the Catholic Center prepare and serve a special meal to honor and appreciate the women of our community.

Event Schedule

• For the men serving: Please arrive by 4:00PM to begin meal preparation.

• For our Beloved Daughters: Join us at 6:00PM for a social hour. Dinner will be served at 6:30 PM.

Dress Code

• For the women: Please dress in your Sunday best for this special evening.

• For the men: If you own a suit, please wear it!

Creative Night is an opportunity to unleash your creativity, deepen your faith, and connect with fellow artists. Join fellow creatives, hear inspiring talks, and learn how your gifts can share the beauty of our faith.

THE CHURCH NEEDS ART! Join us for Creative Night this Wednesday, February 5 at 6PM. We’re excited to welcome David Calavitta and Patrick Gulpo from the creative agency Seen and Unseen. We will be chatting podcast-style about what’s at the intersection of faith and creativity and why the Church needs art. Plus, they’ll be sharing some of their amazing work from the National Eucharistic Congress!

Creative Night begins at 6:30PM with dinner and fellowship followed by our panel discussion. We hope to see you there!

Come join us at St. Francis Center this Saturday, November 2. We will meet at the CC at 9AM and will return at 1PM. This is an amazing opportunity to serve alongside Trojan Catholics and to help those in our community.

Bethany Women’s Night: Start the Year with Faith, Fun, and Sisterhood

Gold Mass for Catholics in the Sciences celebrated by Archbishop José Gomez

Gold Masses are celebrated for Catholics who are or have been involved with the sciences. The patron of this mass is St. Albert the Great, a 13th century Dominican friar, teacher of St. Thomas Aquinas, and patron saint of scientists.

The Gold Mass and courtyard reception are open to all members of the public.

The dinner with Professor Lunine is a ticketed event with limited seating - tickets are available at the link below. This program is co-sponsored by the Nova Forum for Catholic Thought and the Society of Catholic Scientists.

The image of Señor Santo Niño de Cebú, the oldest Catholic relic in the Philippines, was a gift from Ferdinand Magellan in 1521 and has inspired deep devotion since it was miraculously found unharmed in 1565 after a fire. This devotion gave rise to the Sinulog dance and festival, a cherished part of Filipino Catholic tradition.

Pope Francis has proclaimed 2025 as the Jubilee Year of Hope! Join us for an evening of praise and worship, a message, and Eucharistic adoration on Thursday, January 23, at 7PM. We'll kick things off with pizza and fellowship in Newman Hall before moving into the church for a meaningful night of prayer. Fr. Matt will guide us in exploring the true meaning of what Jubilee means and how we can embrace this incredible year of hope. No RSVP needed, bring a friend and we will see you there!

In light of the recent wildfires and the challenges faced by so many in Los Angeles, this year’s OneLife LA event will look a little different. Instead of the traditional walk, the entire event will take place at the Cathedral of Our Lady of the Angels on Saturday, January 18, 2025 at 1PM.

This adjustment allows us to come together as a community in a sacred space while easing the strain on local law enforcement and safety personnel. Let us unite in prayer and mission with other students and communities from across Southern California as we stand for the dignity of every human life.

Please register to help us know how many seats we will need to keep together. Please bring your own lunch and meet us in the CC Courtyard at 11AM for food and fellowship before we depart for the Cathedral at 12:15PM. Transportation options include: self-driving, Metro (Expo Park E Line), and carpool (limited space available). Sign up below and we'll see you there!

This is a wonderful opportunity to prepare your heart for the coming of Christ by receiving the Sacrament of Reconciliation. Multiple priests will be available to hear confessions and offer God’s healing grace. All are welcome!

Have you ever wondered where the Rosary comes from and how we can get the most out of this prayer? Mark your calendars for Wednesday, December 4 at 8PM where we will come together to learn about the origin of the Rosary, hear a talk by Fr. Matt, and share our personal testimonies of how the Rosary has worked in our lives. We will also be exploring about the role of Mary in our lives and particularly how we can unite ourselves to her through the Holy Rosary. Light refreshments will be provided!
