Pilgrimage of Hope

To celebrate the “Pilgrims of Hope” Jubilee Year, faithful from across the Archdiocese of Los Angeles will take to the streets on a seven-mile Pilgrimage of Hope on Saturday, April 5.

Join Fr. Matt and the Archdiocese of LA for Pilgrimage of Hope from All Souls Church in Alhambra to the Cathedral of Our Lady of the Angels, concluding with Mass celebrated by Archbishop Gomez. We will meet at the Catholic Center for carpools at 7am and return by 2pm. Please fill out the RSVP form below so we can confirm carpools and our group size to the archdiocese.

Moriah Men’s Sunrise Rosary Hike

Join us on Sunday, April 7th, for a peaceful and reflective Sunrise Rosary Hike at Griffith Park, guided by the beautiful vistas of the Tom LaBonge Panorama. Fr. Matt Wheeler will be joining us. Here are the details:

  • Departure: We'll leave from USC at 5:00AM sharp and drive to the Berlin Forest at Griffith Park. The drive is approximately 30 minutes.

  • Hike Trail Options:

    • A longer, 1.5-mile winding trail to begin the hike.

    • A shorter, 0.5-mile steep trail for our descent.

  • Sunrise & Rosary: We will reach the Tom LaBonge Panorama in time for sunrise at 6:32AM, where we’ll pray the Rosary as the sun rises.

  • Return: We aim to return to campus by 9:00AM.

Jamie Cleaton has been doing youth and young adult ministry in San Diego for over 15 years. He was a youth minister for 8 years, campus minister at San Diego State University for 7 years, and served as Regional Director in FOCUS for 2 years. He has most recently founded a SoCal based Catholic missionary apostolate called Paradigm Missions. In addition, Jamie has been blessed to speak locally and abroad at various retreats, conferences, and parish missions. Most importantly, Jamie has been married to his wife Grace for over 15 years, and is father to their 6 little rascals.
